Telephone inquiries If you are interested in finding out more about the office or would like to schedule a consultation, please call the office between 8:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday, and speak with Susie Koester.
Initial consultation If you make an appointment for an initial consultation, the first appointment typically lasts about 60-75 minutes, and costs $600 which is paid at the time of that appointment (we accept checks, cash, Mastercard, VISA and American Express).
The first meeting is designed to allow you to become acquainted with our office and style of practice, and also to answer your most pressing questions as well as give you a general understanding of family law in light of your individual circumstances. We ask you to fill out a confidential new client questionnaire (this can be emailed to you in advance) so that the consultation can be tailored to your individual circumstances. The questionnaire asks for general information, and you do not need to bring detailed information or documents to the first meeting.
Extended two-hour initial consultations are available for an in-depth analysis of financial and/or parenting concerns.
After the first meeting If you choose to have our office represent you on an ongoing basis after the first consultation, we will set a retainer (an advance deposit into a trust account, against which fees and costs are billed at the end of each month). The retainer will reflect our best estimate of the initial work involved in your case. A detailed fee agreement will be prepared and reviewed with you before you retain the office to represent you.
